The Pan-American Championship officially takes place on the 2008 International Plafit roster alongside the European Plafit Championship in Denmark, the infamous DPM in Germany, and the new World Plafit Championship to be held in Spain in November.
The brain child of Kurt Petri more than a decade ago, the Plafit Championships have grown to become one of the largest slot racing competitions in the world.
For the first time, the 2008 Pan-Americans represent an opportunity for North Americans to host their own event and compete in this prestigious race series. It was only fitting that the great city of Chicago, strategically located to both the United States and Canada, should be the location for this first Pan-American Championship.
Our hosts, Roger and Laura Schmitt of Mid-America Raceway have provided a first class venue for the 2008 Pan-Ams with a spectacular new track by Gary Gerding that is ideally suited for model car competition at the highest level. Don’t miss out on this historic event!
