2012 Bill "Bear" Overmyer Memorial 4-1/2 Dirt Oval Race

We will run 4-1/2" Dirt Oval cars, the rules for this are:

1) 4-1/2" Chassis (still in production chassis, i.e. Champion Turbo, JK Cheetah 7, etc.)
2) Pro Slot 13/16" front wheels (just add clear fingernail polish to surface to make smooth) Just like any 4-1/2" open wheel race.
3) 1/8" axles (no hardened or hollow axles).
4) Rear tires: Currently produced rear tires (no homemade rear tires).
5) Spur Gear: 26 tooth 48 pitch for 1/8" axles.
6) Bodies are Parma 4-1/2" Dirt Oval Bodies (cut on cut line, no slamming of bodies, cut out front wheel wells for front tires) use a factory-produced stock interior also
7) Motors: Will be hand-out Parma 502D motors with a 9-tooth pinion which will be drawn by numbers. If additional motor is needed, driver will purchase at $15 each (comes with pinion). I will personally test all motors to make sure they are all good. Racer will get to keep their motor(s) after the race.
8) No speed additives, please leave them at home, i.e. comm drops, black death, etc. Can use lighter fluid, canned air, or Pure motor cleaner for motors.
9) Controller rule is same as last year.

Doors will open at 9 AM for practice, motor pick, and solder at 11 AM, Tech and qualifying start at noon.
After that lunch, which will be a roast, cheesy potatoes, green beans, and pumpkin bars for dessert for $7.
Entry fee is $25 which covers one motor, practice, race fee, and trophy and box plaques.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, box plaques for 4th-15th. Race prizes will be drawn after tech.
