Synchronize your watches, racers.

The Ohio Valley Retro program kicks off on September 19, 2009, at Tom Thumb Hobbies in Columbus, OH.

This year's series should be bigger and better than ever. We will open the raceway at 8:00 AM and will start tech at 9:30 AM. Racing will start at 10:30 AM. We will run a tight program to get those who have traveled on their way as soon as possible. The running order will be F1, Can-Am, JK Spec, and GT Coupe.

Just like last season the following will apply:

F1 and Can-Am will run 3 minutes per lane, with 2 minutes between lanes on all eight lanes

GT Coupe and JK Spec will run 2 minute per lane, with 2 minutes between lanes. Unless there are less than five
participants in either class, then it's a four lane race with 3 minutes per lane and 2 minutes between lanes.

F1 and Can-Am cars will be teched at the same time and impounded until race time. Cars will be placed at the start line for the race with no practice time.

GT Coupe and JK Spec tech will begin as soon as possible after the Can-Am race. The cars will be impounded until race time. Cars will be placed at the start line for the race with no practice time.

No gluing of tires or track permitted. Anyone caught gluing will be disqualified.

No applying braid juice directly to track braid. Braid juice may be applied to car braids only.

The raceday schedule may have to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.

There will be a maximum "pit pass" charge of $10 on the Friday before.

Race fees will be $15 for your first race and $10 for each additional race you enter. Saturday's "pit pass" is included with your first race fee.

Our goal is to get things started as soon as possible and run our events as quick as possible within reason. It would help if everyone cooperates by having their cars ready to tech by tech time. Please note that the OVR has dropped the Retro Flexi class as well as the "Rookie" and "Masters" driver classifications.

Cindy will have some of her BBQ pulled pork ready as well as snacks and ice cold drinks.
