ID '60s body and chassis?

Picked up a medium size junk box of '60s slot cars and chassis yesterday at the Kansas City summer model car swap meet. Just wondering if you guys know who produced this body if it was production slot car company or one of aftermarket body suppliers and I am not sure of chassis  Swing arm pick up is not with rubble in box. I know that the Fiat decals are wrong. Ferrari?

Here are a few pics. I can see it has the large Cox can in it but trying to learn everything I can about these cars.

I missed the '60s scene of this hobby.

Chassis is the ultra-common Classic Manta Ray chassis, I'm pretty certain.

Body... Alfa perhaps?

Certain you are correct! I just looked at on of my Manta Rays and that's same chassis. Got a couple of loose pick-up arms in a parts tray.

 

Sometimes you know what your looking at but the brain goes blank, I am blaming it on the near 100 degree heat we are having right now

I know Lancer made a 1/32 version of this body. They may have also made one in 1/24. I don't remember. It was as aerodynamic as a brick!

You nailed it, Steve. Those air scoops are distinctive and I knew I seen them before. Have no idea who pulled that body though...

This is a 1/18 diecast, labeled as a Ferrari 350 P4.

Steve is right, a Ferrari 350 CA. There was no P4 version. It was hastily converted from a 330 P3/4 frame and body to get Ferrari's name into the Can-Am series. The engine was a bored out 330 four-cam and the body was 330 P3/4 with the upper half reconfiguered into a true spyder. NART ran a similar car with a much cleaner body, also with an enlarged 330 fou- cam. Though both cars handled extremely well, the just didn't have the HP to compete with the big Chevies. Ferrari eventuall built 6 and 7 litre cars specifically for the Can-Am. 

 

I have that body in butyrate that I am sure is Lancer or Revell.

One version of the body was made by Lancer.

 

Also made currently for the retro cars by OS and others. 

Here's the 1/32 version of that body, also by Lancer and in a factory painted version - used I believe by REH in the 70s with a Russkit Rattler frame, various motors (I think - I used a K&B Wildcat) and set screw wheels.
