The final SCRRA race before the Summer Western Classic later this month will be this Saturday on BPR's Flat track. We're going to keep the normal schedule instead of trying to squeeze in a King track race like we tried last time before a major event but will again allow Anglewinder Coupes to run in Can Am.  So, F1 tech at the usual 10AM, followed by lunch and Can Am. The King track will be available all day for anyone looking to practice and Debby says she has lots of Parma Lola T70 Coupes in stock!

Hope everyone had great 4th of July!!  See you Saturday!  :good:

You can race either the Coupe or the Can Am.  Recently leading up to a big race we had enough racers to form two races depending on which group you wanted to join.  What kind of body is that with the goal post near the rear spoiler area?  Lancer Mirage-Ford?

That's a Toyota 88C and the goalposts are the wing pylons (which I'll put on when I figger out to get it to stay)

Already here. Borrowed a great "FLYING V" LMP and raced tonight. Coupe is good to go but not this one shown. A different one is better so far. F-1s are OK (I think) but need some speed. Trying to find that tomorrow.

Some mighty good flat track racing today at BPR. I'll let our "reporters" tell the results, but, Jim Fowler was FAST, as was Dennis Sampson. Some guys practiced with their Coupes, as we are getting ready for the SWC. As I've said before, we have a very determined bunch of flat track racers here. Very fast company. And it was nice to see TJ Albu here for some flat tracking. A good day at the track today.

Real quick; hope Bryan Warmack is feeling Ok, as he had to leave not feeling too well. Hope you feel better Bryan.

Another add on: John Cukras joined our fun and ran VERY well today. WTG Jet!

As mentioned by Tom here the trusty race reporter was feeling under the weather today! I had a rough night with fever and chills but woke up feeling better but at the track it all came back. I'm feeling better now and hope to throw together a decent race report as Mill took a lot of pictures........

Another great Flat track turnout today and I've been told that both races were super close. In F1, out of towner Jim Fowler came from the B Main to show everyone the way home followed by Mill Conroy in 2nd and Dennis Samson in 3rd. One lap covered the top 3!

In Can Am Duran Trujillo came out victorious followed by Jim Fowler and Mill Conroy.  Great run Jim!!

  Race report up shortly.........

Just an FYI---Duran WON with a Can Am car while Mill and Jim were both running the "faster" angle winder coupes!! Duran's flat track Can Am car was on rails!!

Great seeing Jim Fowler down and running really good on the flatster!! He's got some great builds and always great to see them up close and personal!!

Fun day--good to hear you're feeling better Bryan!! :)

Thanks from me to all my So-Cal comrades, Tim, Gary, Dennis, Sam, Mark, TJ, Bill, Bryan, Mill, Jim, Mike, Jet, and everyone else who make me feel at home here. Thanks to Bill V for a killer LMP loaner car on Thursday that was way better than I drove it. It's always good to come down here to my second home in slot cars to race once in a while. This is where it all started and is still the program that I consider most closely when considering our Nor-Cal agenda.

I'll miss the Summer Classic due to a long overdue dental procedure but hope for a couple more trips down there before ski season kicks in.
