July's D3 Hardbody races at Buena Park Raceway had a good turnout of racers. Alex Dubrowsky drove in his first ever D3 hardbody race. He ran a very good race his first time out. Good racing Alex!
By the way, for those who don't know, Alex has very limited vision and is legally blind but he has managed to turn marshall our hardbody races for several years now. He does a good job especially considering his limited vision. Amazing how well he drives a slot car even with very limited vision. He's an inspiration to us by showing how much he loves slot car racing and will do whatever he can to help us out. Thanks Alex, we appreciate your support.
Mark MacVittie raced his new Toyota GT-1 (mid-engine racing class). Nice looking car Mark.
Hector Gonzalez, Jim Lane and Jay Henry won races with some very close racing. As usual, the fun factor was obvious as racers enjoyed another day of hardbody racing at BPR.
Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody racing at Buena Park Raceway.
Thanks to our race directors, Victor Dubrowsky and Ken Dylke.
