Where can I purchase the driver station hook ups? I've looked on the supplier sites but don't see them. Is there such a thing or just drill three holes and put plastic over it?

Perfect. Thanks. Little pricy compared to what I was thinking but very nice looking.

wouldn't be hard to build something just as good, a little paint and it could look just as good too for a fraction of the price, I think professor Motor makes them too, don't know how the price compares

Alleged amateur racer.
Mostly just play with lots of cars.
Able to maintain slot cars with a single bound.
Faster than a speeding Womp.
More powerful than a 36D.

Ralph Thorne at Ralph Thorne Racing can custom make you some really nice looking panels with your business name on them. The rest is just hardware store bits.

Slot Car Corner has all different types depending on what you want. The one like Professor Motor with just three posts is only $18.99.

You might also check Viperscaleracing in Utah. Dan Cronin does a lot of laser cutting for slot car tracks he builds.

We used to just have a local print shop make up decals with colour coding for lanes and places to drill the holes for hook up posts. For a long time before that we had lamacoid plates made up that looked great but that company closed up. The decals were fairly cheap so we ended up saving money.

Gonna check with Thorne and also like the decal Idea. I can put a piece of laminate over it and probably make it turn out ok. Or I can just suck it up and pay $18 apiece and get all the hardware.

You might want to consider putting an inline breaker or fuse in each station too. Cheap insurance for your power supply against a low chassis or hooking up a controller backwards.

15 years ago, I already had the 8 colors of paint, from painting the legs on my flat track, the 8 lane colors, and Jerry Kulich gave me the flame masks, (which eventually got covered with the boxes for the controllers) or I would of went with something like those in a heartbeat.
Ralph does great work and sells a nice glue board for drag racing, so he most likely can make them.
I'm guessing what might prevent him from taking on the job is the 8 different colors.
His glue boards are all fluorescent.

Ralph made all the drivers panels at Speedzone in Peachtree City GA. I think we had 36 or 40 panels made.

Best pic I could find. These were smaller than the other tracks.
If he can do this and at something I can afford then this will be the way I will go. I like these a lot.

I think the prices PM and SCC charge are quite reasonable.
I'm going to agree with Mike on this one. Could I build something cheaper? Sure, there's not a lot to a driver's station. A piece of plexiglass or polycarbonate, painted on one side, with some hardware and a few electrical connectors.
But for the time it would take, unless I wanted something specific, $20 apiece seems very reasonable. Plus, it helps support places that make and sell slot car parts, which also sounds like a good thing!

Slot Car Corner or Professor Motors is a great buy for those kits and it keeps another vendor in business. You will be hard press to duplicate price, buying separately on your own, let alone the time you would spend sourcing the parts.
