Race #8 is in the books which also concludes the inaugural season for the USRRA. We had 16 racers in Can-Am and 11 racers in F1. We started with Can-Am at about 10:30am after morning practice and tech. After Can-Am was concluded, we had an hour break for F1 practice and lunch.
Being the last race, the champions for Can-Am and F1 would be determined because no one ran away with the series due to very close racing throughout the season.
First up, Can-Am qualifying: Jason Dennis lead the way with a 3.945 second lap over Bud Bartos at 3.963 seconds.
Can-Am Race Results: In the A main, Ricky lead in the early going but at about halfway Greg Fox took over and won by 3 laps. Greg was followed by Ricky and Bud Bartos
In the B main, Al Rutti took the victory over Doc Dougherty and Ken Kanyok.
Can-Am A main podium:
Can-Am B main podium:
F1 Qualifying: Ricky lead the way in F1 as he has all year long, followed closely by Greg Fox. Ralph Middaugh turned in his best qualifying lap of the year with a 4.090 second lap.
F1 Race Results: In the A main, Greg Fox lead everybody finishing with 336 laps. In second and third were Ricky and Bud Bartos.
