Eight slot-heads showed up to race Jalopy and Can-Am at STR on 4/4/22.  Track conditions were a bit loose but began to come in as the evening wore on.

Bob had the clear advantage in the Jalopy race. His 39 Chevy more than .2 seconds/lap faster than the nearest competitor.  An unfortunate off in the lead-on lost him about a lap, otherwise he would have completely dominated the race. As it was, Bob finished first with 84.7 laps.  Meanwhile, Rich and Mark battled it out for the remaining podium spots.  Mark had a one lap lead after two heats, but Rich battled back with a fine 22 lap heat on red (his third) compared to Mark's 20 lap third heat. Therefore, going into the final heat, Rich had about a one lap lead over Mark.  In that final heat, Rich extended his lead by a lap to finish second with 83.5 laps. Mark was third with 81.6 laps. Below are the detailed results and images of the top three finishers as well as some new rides.  To view all of the Jalopy rides, see the link http://slotblog.net/...r-jalopy-class/

The Can-Am race was a three horse competition between, Bob, Mark and Rich.  All three went into their final heats averaging 22 laps/heat.  Mark managed the win running an excellent final heat with Bob second and Rich third.  Below are the details and images of some of the cars.  For images of all Can-Am rides, see the link http://slotblog.net/...r-can-am-class/
