The May edition of the C.A.R.S. Vintage Slot Car Club meets next Thursday, May 5, 2022.

 

In keeping with our themes for 2022, May will be saluting Italian cars slot car style. Ferraris, Alfas, Lamborghinis, etc...

 

Also we'll be continuing Buzzy's Basement Beauties!

Pete, I'm sorry I haven't had the chance to reply until now.

 

Picture 1:

 

O/S Ferrari (O/S-001??) body circa 79/80/81/82 for the super open car.  Body sent to me from a slotblogger, chassis by Dennis Samson, Paint by Jimmy and trim mount wings etc by Dom.

 

The yellow Maclaren off to the right is painted and hand lettered by Dennis (Maclaren is American I guess?  I'm a fool for not knowing that, I know way too much about slot cars and not enough about big cars!)

 

#34 Alfa - you know who did me a favor with that one...

 

1/32 Red chassis/ Ferrari body is a Red anodized garvic chassis for and powered by Bonner Motor.  Really just for show and tell.

 

#28 Alfa - once again, Beautiful Dennis work. - this thing flies!

 

The HO Maseratis -- my HO club race cars.  Kinda funny to be racing a GREEN Aurora TJET Maserati, but yep, you guessed it, couple screws loose.

 

Next post, Pictures 2 and 3 - Rodney's cars.  Rodney can build.  The F1 Bounty Hunter is a thing of beauty and I love seeing it every time the monthly feature calls for it.  Also FYI, I think it was built in Era...

 

Last two pictures - Nicky and Ralphy's show and tell for Buzzy Basement Beauties and items with Ferrari logos/cars.  The womp is awesome!

 

I was going to send stuff to Dennis to build me a bag of 1/32 and 1/24 cars, but they are not in the cards...yet...

Mike, the O/S Ferrari 001 came out in '74 or '75. We were running them in the mid-70s.
