FYI to all GRRR Racers...

 

There is a fair amount of behind the scenes time, effort, and money expended by the GRRR directors and the Raceway owners to put on a GRRR event, and for several reasons it is becoming more and more important to know how many racers we can expect at an event.  Please take the time to sign on to Slotblog and let us know your intention one way or the other by posting in this thread.  It is a pretty small "price" to pay to help GRRR and the Raceway owners to continue to put on our races.  One of the only other alternatives is to actually pre-register, possiblely even with payment, but we really DO NOT want it to have to come to this. 

 

One other bit of info to consider...

Please check the Stockcar rules closely with regard to how the body can be cut.  There are several rules with respect to the cutting at the bottom of the door, wheel wells, and in one case a front fender "height" that needs to be respected.  A few of the Stockcar bodies seem to be getting pretty "slammed" and I don't want to have to reject anyone at the tech table for a rules infraction.

Due to the driving distances involved for everyone the doors will open a bit later than normal, that is 9:00am.

Jay excellent points, as a raceway owner and racer I concur with your statement.

It would be great if racers would comit to races.

Here are the very belated results from the June 25th, 2022 GRRR race held at Avon Park, Florida.  And a huge THANKS! to track owner Gary Worden and also Jim Woods for going above and beyond to help make this race a success.  The race was well run and the track was in very good condition, plus there was plenty of pit space with quite bit left over.  BTW... If you missed this one you also missed some of the best BBQ sandwiches I've had in a long time.

Next up were the Can-Am cars, Jon finished just a few sections ahead of Jay to take the last podium spot...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last race of the day was for the F-1 cars (there was no qualifying, cars were seeded by Can-Am finish)...
