Hello again gang...

You may remember my 2 lane from a few weeks back... saying how it'd be 4 lane soon??  Well here it is..

I'll add a 2 lane pic for reference.

I edited recently in case anyone saw it elsewhere: (Snoopy corner to slow the entry down the front straight- you'll see it  :pardon:  ).

I'll try to add the video, but even with some shrink, it's huge...   errruhhhhhh "that's what she said" :laugh2:

Ok, that sorta worked...  anyway,  I'm a casual racer at best, last event (it's debut) we had 11 friends who had never raced slotcars before, sure most of them played with them as kids but....ya know "racing".

I have 1 more event June 12, it'll be a good test of my VIASUE / Race coordinator... then I'll put together a public event for those near me that would like to come race - get some properly tuned cars on it.  (As a reference, I'm barely a 10 minute drive from Parsippany NJ's slot car show held a few times a year.)

Should I secure it to the table though? Does it truly help? AND, more importantly, should we lose the thin rug material and paint instead?

Looks like four marshals can handle it but one of them might be real busy.

Looks like fun, good job.  :)

I like the painted surface on my table.

When I clean the track with a rag damp with WD40 I also wipe off the painted table surface.

Leaves a little shine and cleans up any dust on the table.

Got rid of carpet in the house so guess I don't miss it on a slot car table either.

What's next some 3 inch tall fences between the turns?

Are you running variable voltage too?

Depending on the car I run mine between 13.5 an 17 volts.

I don't miss racing with the the 22 volt AFX transformers.

@NSwanberg  Curious where you think the most frequent crashes might be? I haven't even had time to test all 4 lanes yet, but likely will by Weds for the chat..

@993   Some sort of guardrail is next-- I saw the new spy shots of AFX's new guardrails and I was impressed, but only if they are gray/silver...   As for power ... currently on the factory wallpacks, so yeh, that'll be next after we get some events in, as well as run some power taps.
