Is it just me or,is it impossible to make a 90° turn without a 1/2 14" turn? Part number R3621 in the picture. And is there a difference in 3625 and 3626? (Banked turns)

No way to make a 90 degree turn without the half curve. You could do it using 3 of the 21" radius curves though. R3610. The R3621 curves are extremely hard to find these days.

You just have to cut and graft a full curve with a piece cut in half.

Matt D, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. But, I had a feeling someone would. I know with HO, most Ho track, it's fairly easy. There are no male, female ends. Only morphodite tracks. Do you, or anyone, have a picture of the finished product?

That piece of track is a partial curve grafted to a straight.   I used a cut off tool, glue gun and some sheet styrene.    Revell curves are cheap enough to be throw away items,  start cutting and see what you can do.   Most rails can be removed, cut and put back in place,   If a joint is not good enough, put copper tape over it.  Not rocket science , jump in and see what you can do..

That's pretty handy ! Thanks for sharing. I keep thinking about adding to mine since I still have some unused space on one of the tables. This is the layout I originally planned but was going to add several more straight sections to make it longer. Ended up not building it partly because of the lack of half curves and half straights. I also scrapped this idea because it's too challenging with so many curves and not much straight track to let the cars stretch their legs.My current layout has a 15' main straight.

I've got one of these. Seems to be pretty rare.

Very cool. Only seen them in pictures, never seen one for sale. I wonder if the track is different

There was a smaller version on evilbay a few weeks ago. It went for $428.00 +++. You had to pick it up in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Kind of a deal-breaker right there.

It's funny, the price on it was $75.00 (1966???) , in today's dollars thats $669:23.
Very doable layout. At any turns banked ?

Wouldn't surprise me if it is. One of the things I like about Revell track is it's fairly wide.

I'm going to bet that it's the same size as the banked turns in the 1/32 sets.
Another thing most people don't know is that REH produced the 1/32 track as late as (I know they sold it in) 2005 maybe longer. The 1/24 track did not appear in any of the catalogs they sent me. If it did, I missed it.

I also have a Sears 1/24th scale track. The Montgomery Ward track isn't anywhere near as wide as the Sears is. I bet the Montgomery Ward track is actually 1/32nd track.

All Revell and Riggen track are the same size and probably REH used some of the same molds for the black track..    The lane centers are 3 1/2.   Revell did make a banked curve that was 4 inch centers and had a tapered straight for entry and exit.   The only true 1/24 was Marx, Eldon and Strombecker.  Marx/Sears Professional was the only track with a slot deep enough for a commercial guide flag.  Scalextric made the very nice 3 lane 1/24 track which is a rarity, especially in the US.

The clear body at the top left appears to be a repull of the Russkit Chaparral.

Correct as usual Billing. It's the real 1/24 scale isn't it?
