I just restored one of the newest cars in the Oakland Speedway collection. It is a MAC Lola (long version) that was raced around late 1973 early 1974. You could see the beginnings of wing cars with this one.
The restoration of this car began with repairing the body. The right side was torn off and the front fender was missing. A donor body supplied the right side and the new side was glued to the body. Red and silver paint was fogged in to cover the new side.
The chassis was cleaned up and solder joints repaired. New orange tires were installed. A 25 single Mura C-can motor was assembled for the car. Original jet flag. New spur gear installed. The car may have been run with split front axles (no axle tube cross piece).
Old side and one wing shown at the bottom of the picture. Donor body on the left. New wings made of .010 Lexan.
New side glued on with flexible glue. Body is still flexible.

Nice body restoration. You can hardly tell it was repaired. Good job with the paint matching too.
