Why is his forum and topics locked?

 

I suspect because he is passing on his thoughts and knowledge and does not want it confused with a bunch of (I would have done it different) comments.

I don't see them as locked, either.

They may not be locked but there is no option to comment and at the top there is a blue strip with no replies to this topic.

 

Just above the blue strip there is a grayed box saying you may not reply.

I have no problem with that.

I thought that might of been the case, but I spotted at least a few threads with responses.

Can you reply to the below early James Cleave thread?

I've included screenshots of what I see.

I realize you don't have a topic moderation button, but it would probably help Cheater, as Dom requested, if you can provide a screenshot.

No Mike I can not reply to the topic you posted the link to.
 
 I think he has blocked comment on threads he started, and that's fine with me.

 

I don't think there is any function to not let specific people reply.

I've never seen that "you can not reply to..." icon before.

I just made a post and couldn't see a way to get that icon to pop up.

Best I could do is my normal "locking" which does the same thing.

Maybe it's an option someone with their own forum has.
