Roger,

Appreciate Mid-America bringing back the Parma line. The Parma 16D wasn't a perfect motor, but it was solid, reliable horsepower at an economical price.

A team of Virginia guys won a 24-hour enduro at Bob's Scale Auto Hobbies in Hayes, VA, in the early '90s using only one motor doing nothing more than routine changing brushes and lube. The motor didn't miss a beat the entire 24-hour run.

Will sealed versions be available?

I doubt if sealed motors are needed? Anyone still racing sealed 16Ds? There are plenty of FKs.

Roger, any plans to sell cans, end bells. magnets, & arms separately, or just complete motors?

Looks as if a deal was swung with the OEM in China to buy the stock that was just sitting there from when Mike MacD wouldn't/couldn't buy it. YOMV  :D

Will be great for restoring all those Flexi 1,2,3,4,5 chassis to collectible status.

I'd run em like a separate Grp 10 class; throw them in some old flexi chassis. cant get anymore retro than that.

Yes, cans endbells mags and arms. if Parma made it before, parma will be making it again.   waking up all the old tooling.  Sealed versions soon, stickers are on order.

things can only happen so fast

these will be coming on Parma header cards just like the parma bodies we make

This is great...gives the young racers and newbies  a way to experience the fun of rebuilding a motor and learning.

A friend and I discussed building a C or D-can Flexi-style chassis and what might still be available that would take those motors.

I have some recent center sections, so I tried C & D motors in the chassis intended for a mini-motor. They do fit in the cutout! Any mods are minor.

This points out again that the dimensional differences on these motors is small. The "FK" or mini-motors are narrower due to their skinny magnets, but length and height are not much different. The C and D endbells have a step that allows the extra length to extend over the chassis.

The main drawback of 16D today is that the relatively massive magnets make them heavier.
