Anybody know anything about this place?
I just got back from the White River Junction model train show. I rented two tables to sell trains and took a few Flexis to maybe sell, but mostly to see if there was any interest in them.
One guy who looked at them told me about this new raceway and now that I'm home I looked it up online and it seems to be a going concern, a serious 177-foot eight-lane routed flat track. From their site it looks like they only race Carrara and similar cars in several classes but I can't see why they couldn't race Flexis, too.
Regardless, it seems that they should be listed in the track list, can they just be listed or does the raceway itself have to submit the info for that?
That's a long ride for me, but a lot closer then any other raceway. I would make the trip at least once a month or so if they raced classes I was interested in.

From the Carrare feel, appearance is a big part of their game. Something flexis aren't particularly known for.
On the other hand, maybe you should try Carrera? Still, it never hurts to go play or take some friends with you. Maybe flexis will gain traction there.
I never met a store owner who didn't want to make a buck anyway they can. Either way, I would be sure of tire requirements or restirctions before making the trip.

No picture of the track available, which would be great.

Better call first to find out what they race. Plastic cars like clean tracks and flexi cars prefer spray glue - you'll have to go by the house rules.

I was wrong, the track is 190 feet.

Neat track, but it's got that funky braid.

What's your problem with the braid? I know some NH guys who raced an endurance race on the Windsor track and none of them complained about the braid.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

Paul, it would be nice if raceway owners would take advantage of the free advertising in Slotblog's Raceway List, but it is a very rare thing for a raceway owner to submit his info so they can be listed.
I'll get them added there in a bit although it may not happen today since I am traveling.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Maybe it's fine, but it's not conventional.

Looks like a beautiful facility and track. I would love to run some Retro cars on it! About three and a half hours from me though.

The facility looks very nice.
I'm not in the mood to do a lot of investigative work.
What's this braid that is so controversial?
Another observation.
Why would someone trying to promote the track take a picture, highlighting a person with their hood up, and hands in his pocket?

Ok, my bad. It's a normally braided track.

Small-town newspaper photographer.
Even a small-town photographer should have realized he was taking a picture that made it look like they were slot racing at Ice Station Zebra.
Another minor critique.
He could have shut the door to the washroom enough to not let the the commode photobomb the shot.
Here is a shot my wife took from the Sano.
My raceway is hardly a showpiece, but at least she knows to take the pic with a nice background, a nice area of the floor finish, etc.

it does make you wonder what the hell the photographer was thinking.

Obviously from out of town. Locals don't wear hoodies when it's this warm.

I believe the guy wearing the hoodie is the owner of the raceway.
I was thinking the same thing about the bathroom

One thing I like is the bleachers, another thing is that there's finally a raceway in Vermont listed here!

Just that he had the hoodie on (and up) when the weather wasn't that cold.
IOW, the locals are used to the cold.

How the hobby presents itself through photos on social media is often a mystery to me. It doesn't take a profressional photographer but just a little thought to put our best foot forward for the world to see.
