Nine slot-heads showed up to race GT1 and Dirt Devil at STR on 10/24/22. The track had recently been cleaned and sprayed and conditions were quite good. In the GT1 and Dirt Devil races it was Bob, Rich and Joe for first through third respectively.
GT1
In the GT1 race it was an all Enzo podium. Bob dominated the race, winning with 89.8 laps. The battle for second place was between Rich and Joe. Although Joe’s Enzo was about .1 seconds/lap quicker, Rich managed a second-place finish by running a more consistent race.
The race was punctuated by several mishaps. The most spectacular crash was Scott’s 962 launching at the end of the main straight onto the floor. It took several minutes for Scott to address front end damage and re-enter the race.
