AWRA WOMP RACING returns to The Raceway - Cleveland, TN, November 5.  LEGACY GT-1 on the road course, DIRT LATES & STOCK CARS on the Oval.
 
SERRA (IRRA rules) Retro Racing at Alpine Speedway in Helen, GA, Saturday, November 5. Open practice on Friday, November 4. Stock Car, Coupe/GTC, Can-Am and F1/Indy Classes All races will run on the reverse King.
 

A non points event for SUMMER HEAT style flexi cars on Nov 12 at APEX RACEWAY in Murfreesboro, TN. Production/DTM, JK Indy Wide and GTP Classes will be run, All races will run on the spread Hillclimb.
 
The WOMP MAFIA makes its first visit to Tennessee on January 7, 2023 with an event at  The Raceway, Cleveland, TN

THE RACEWAY CLEVELAND, TN RESULTS, from Tuesday 25 Oct 2022 -
 
JK C21 Spec LMP - Courtney Smith edged Dal Taylor by .02 seconds for fast lap (4.742) as the duo finished 1-2.  Doug Smith completed the podium. Courtney also recorded best segment (25).  
 

 


You are invited to join the locals for the action Thursday, 27 Oct, 2022, when they run JK WIDE INDY (Reverse LTD), PRO-TRACK 4" & WOMP DIRT LATE MODELS (Oval).

• 16-D Parma/Mid America 501 DeathStar motor ONLY (on the King)
• Same technical rules as the Reunion Race 

2. ProTrack Hardbody NASCAR 4-1/2 (on the Oval )

• Same rules as the weekly races 

3. C-21 JK NASCAR (on the King )

• 11 tooth pinion any manufacturer 64pitch 
• Axle gear 36 tooth 64 pitch any manufacturer

COMING EVENTS:
 

DEC 31st 2022 - The Raceway - Cleveland TN "warm-up" race for the GRC ENDURO CARS.  You don't even need a car - just show up ready to race and have some fun!  Store will open at 11:00, we will qualify at 11:30.  

 

JAN 7TH - The WOMP MAFIA make its first appearance in the Southeast!  This event is really starting to take shape!  Spoke with The Caveman himself this week; he and two other racers from Texas will be here.  These are really great-driving, fun cars.  One car, two bodies, two races.  One on the Road Course, one on the Oval.  CAVEMAN BODEEZ, PRO-SLOT and R-GEO have combined to offer $60 in gift certificates for BEST APPEARING!

The doors will open at 9:00am with tech at 10:00am

Update on the Frostbite Classic from the organizers:
 

Due to the overwhelming response to the Frostbite classic retro race we will be qualifying stockcar and racing stockcar on Friday evening Feb 24th qualifying at 7pm racing will follow immediately after and sat morning tech at 9am for GTC on king and then can-am on the king and then f-1 this is the order I’m sorry hope this doesn’t inconvenience anybody but there a lot of people traveling to this event and this is the only way to get it in !!!!!!!!

 

We will open Thursday evening at 7pm to let people in to practice and tune there cars ect for Friday 24th & sat 25th

I’m sorry for the changes but this is what I have to do to make this happen so here’s the running order and schedule ect anybody has questions please contact nick at 423-432-2623 or fb messenger ect

JUNE 9 & 10 - FLEXI CHALLENGE SPECIAL EVENT at The Raceway - Cleveland TN (spec motor, tires and bodies). All races on the Road Course.

RACE RESULTS from Saturday 8/5/2023 - A stellar turn-out and unbelievably close racing as all three classes had first and second place finishers on the same lap! Thanks again to Bill Colvard/Bill's Auto Detailing/B&B Storage for sponsoring the event.
 

4.5" GRC SPORTS CARS - Although Nick Farris recorded the only sub-6 second race laps and the only 20 lap segment, he had less than a lap on Isaac Simpson at race's end. Dal Taylor was less than two laps back in third.
 

 

 

 




NSR GT-3 - Mike Stephenson and Nick Farris finished 1-2 and shared best segment (17). Dal Taylor - who switched from his AMG to a new C7R at the last minute - was quicker than both, but finished third, 2 laps back. Isaac Simpson edged Bill Colvard for fast lap (6.754). They were the only racers in the 6.7's.
 

 

 

 


NSR FORMULA-1 - This was our first race for these cars and featured another close finish as the top three all finished on the same lap! Event Sponsor Bill Colvard purchased a car at the last minute and grabbed the win. Dal Taylor (also pick up his ride the day before the event) was our runner-up and claimed best segment (17). Nick Farris was third. Mike Stephenson was just off the podium but notched fast race lap (6.902).

REMINDER OF SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK:

TONIGHT (Monday 11-20-2023) will will run our regular Tuesday night GRC/JK SPEC GT/NSR GT-3 races.

TUESDAY - The Raceway - Cleveland TN will be closed

WEDNESDAY - We will run our regular Thursday night JK SPEC RETRO/PRO-TRACK DLM and LEXAN STOCK CAR race.

THURSDAY - HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The Raceway - Cleveland TN will be closed

FRIDAY- The Raceway - Cleveland TN will open at 5:00. We hope to see you for NSR GT-3 racing on the Road Course and BRACKET CARS on the Drag Strip.

SATURDAY (November 25TH) - "Mild Bill's Go-Slo Fall Fest". 4.5" GRC SPORTS CARS, JK SPEC RETRO, JK SPEC GT. All races will be on the Road Course with "house " controllers. The Raceway - Cleveland TN will open at 9:00 with GRC tech at 10:00. Lunch will be provided. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can plan the meal accordingly.
