Nov 5, 2022 - Scale Racing Center Toronto
A bit of a light turnout today but some good racing nonetheless.
First up was DTM and in this, we went without qualifying as starting positions were decided by previous race finishing place.
Bmain and Tom Garner entered his first race with us and was able to put in a great run to take the win in the main followed by Jim Toye in second and Rodger Niznik in third.
A main and Tom Adams was the class of the field taking the win by six laps, followed by Mike Hession who ran amazing and Robert Woloschuk in third.
Combined podium results were:
Tom Adams, Tom Garner and Mike Hession
Guys were getting this figured out and we had the top four guys qualify with 5.0s and George Russell almost dipping into the 4.9s.
In the B Main, Chuck Ingram, who qualified las,t ended running a fantastic race and was able to take the win followed by Jim Toye and Mike Hession.
A Main time.
Some attrition was happening but John Waller took over this race and showed us how to do Pro24. Tom Adams was just doing Tom Adams things getting the second spot on the podium followed by Tom Garner in his rent a ride program. Tom ran a great race and kept clean.
Eurosport 24.
I want to thank all the volunteer marshals that allowed us to run this race. Without you, we could not have done this.
We did not bother qualifying as there were only five of us, so we let the computer pick random lane assignments.
Tom Adams had a very strong heat and looked to be the early favorite with John Waller and George Russell having issues. This left myself and Scott Bogart to fight for second.
John and George got their cars sorted and Scott and I continued to battle with Scott edging me for a couple of heats.
George started coming on strong and Tom was stretching out his lead a tad.
By the end of the fourth heat a lot had changed, as Scott and George were out as their motors faded, John was looking at a podium spot and I was closing in on Tom.
Fifth heat, John was fast and secured his podium spot passing Scott and George's lap totals and Tom and I were tied going into the last heat.
Early in the last heat, Tom and I swapped the lead a couple of times but I was able to run just a tad cleaner and by the time the tone went to end the race, I had pulled a one-lap win.
There was a lot of great racing on this day. We thank all the guys that travelled from the US to join us and everything that showed up to help make for a fun day.
