These two were built for Nesta Szabo (68 Caddy here on the forum). He painted the bodies and I built and assembled the chassis.
First up is a Jail Door type in-line for the Jag. The chassis is an ISO type with the motor and guide allowed to have 1/16" drop with respect to the outriggers and front axle.
The body is a 1/25th scale by Monogram from 1978. The interior pan is constructed from the dash, tops of the door panels with a sheet styrene base and the tops of the front seats. Wheel inserts are from the model kit.
Now, the Nissan Fairlady 240Z, which is a 1/24th scale Fujimi model kit. The interior was built pretty much the same way using the dash, tops of the door panels, one seat back and a driver. However, since the car is larger it allowed for a deeper interior which also got a roll bar and other details.
The chassis layout is a 2 rail anglewinder with tilting pans.
