Nice cars Rod, and definitely a bit different; kind of surprising more companies didn't make these bodies.
Also not that easy to find this 16D size chassis by Cox.
By round weights, you mean the ones under the screws at the front? They must be thicker than they look at 1 oz each! Are the motors stock? If so, no trouble pushing 5+ oz cars?

Don, corrected to 0.1 ounce for the round weights.
Comes to about 3.4 ounce for the roller plus 0.3 ounce for the weights and 1.6 ounce for the resin body. An unpainted Cox Dino body weighs in at about 1.1 ounce. So, the resin body is half an ounce heavier than the stock body.
Motors are stock Cox motors. The coupe has a newer oval hole Cox motor. Gear ratio with these 16D cars is over 4 to 1. Most Cox 36D powered cars were 3 to 1.
Alfa models were rare.
Cox kit from the Ben Jones collection.

Really nice!
Really capture the vintage look.
These hard body conversions take a lot of work and planning and you seem to have it down pat.
On the mirrors, you can drill a very small hole in the body and mirror and use a cut down straight pin as a locating mount.
You can Crazy glue the pin into the mirror only and install the mirrors on the car for display only, or glue them to the body as well and hope for the best
