I obviously mount Stock Car bodies too low.  :unknw:

Mine look the same, cut right on the cut line.

I am not sure that is on the cut line Scott. 

 

On the left side I see a shadow above the bottom of the body that I am thinking is the cut line.

If it is, the body would sit even lower, making the portion behind the wheel opening well below the rear axle.

The bodies I have mounted are much lower than the one pictured.

Eddie, I just saw this.
It depends on the body you use. The issue is not how low but that there were some individuals who left the extra material on the body on the rear of the qtr panel. They were using it like you do on a flexi car to add aero side force and slightly stiffen the body in that region.
BTW, I like to mount mine as low as I can. I love the sled look.
