Is anyone running a short guide lead Retro Stock Car?

Until we came up with the +/- specs (see link below) I don't think anyone has really checked the stock car guide leads often enough to know if anyone is running shorter (or longer) guide leads.

Jay, I would think the people building them would know.

 

And I am not talking about 1/16" short but rather like 1/4" short.

Yeah, Eddie, that is true, but from now on anything outside of the new specifications would be illegal so I guess it's just academic at this point.

Yes we ran short guide leads to the tune of 1/2 lead before. Really good getting into the corner and through the middle but made the car really Un stable on exit. Will B winning stock car at the Sano was something like .625 but at that time the rule was a maximum rule.

If they get any shorter you'd almost need a trailing flag
