Any suggestions? Anyone know who made the body? A purple 36-D seems right.
I've seen these chassis go for $75 on evilbay, not that it's important to me.
Also, any idea what year?

Body could possibly have been made by Booth Machine. The dimples on the flat part of the mold was characteristic of their molding process.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

the body fit like it was made for the chassis. Who ever made it did a great job.

BTW the AMT chasis fits the original Lancer Ford J model body even better.

Martin, I'll keep a eye out for a J- car but, sometimes ya just got to go with what you got.
Now for the motor, purple? It's set up for a 36-D.
TSR, maybe this is the exception that proves the rule. Had they not copied it,I might not have one,or known of it. Beautiful car, I'm thinking yellow with red& white stripes.

Mark, the open wheel car you refer to is the Bandido. A mate to the Fantum. Both Thingy's.
No drop arm on either BTW.
