Would it be possible to move the motor discussion that appears about to happen in Clyde's Corner to a new thread in order to let Clyde have his thread back and not distract from the original intent of Clyde's thread?

Agreed. This debate doesn't really relate to Clyde other than he passed on what he heard. It's not fair to block his forum, which I have found interesting.

It will get unlocked as soon as I'm done responding and as I already said, I'll be happy to move it.

 

It was Clyde's decision to open up this subject in his own thread and it's not fair to me to let people comment until I get a chance to explain what I know.

 

All this is not going to happen instantaneously, as I'm dealing with a broken phone which is the lifeline to my business.

PS-before my phone died, I dis see a text from Clyde where he requested that I contact him  when I unlock the thread.

 

Nowhere did he express any distress that it was temporarily locked.

I already own a raceway in an almost 5,000 sq. ft. facility, in an affluent West Suburban Chicago area,  that I have to pay rent on every month.

A company's assets are far more reaching than owning a building. Some companies may have a building as an asset, but many more don't. The same applies to slot car raceways, not many have been in owner-owned buildings, most have been in leased storefronts.
