F1 Results                At the halfway point it looked like a battle between Sam, Dale, Duran and Chance and it seemed everyone was running into trouble of one sort or another..... When the flag dropped Duran held onto the win, over Dale followed closely by Sam and Chance.

Sorry it has taken so long to get around to a Kelly/ Checkpoint wrap-up and some words of thanks but better late than never!

A big shout out to the main race sponsor, Kelly Racing Products for their assistance and prizes, and thanks a lot to Mid America and Proslot for their generous donations!

Congrats to the winners, Dale Yamashita in Cam Am, Retro Coupe and F1 Flat track, with Sam Rackham in Retro Pro and Duran Trujillo in F1. Congrats to all the podium guys and congrats to ALL the racers!  Also, a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated and a special thanks to anyone who came any distance to help make this a great weekend of SCRRA Retro racing!

Super thanks to Piranha Speedway and Richard Curnutte for hosting the event and for all the time and effort spent with organizing, all the trophies and awards, and all the work with the hand-out motors. Thanks, Richard!

Thanks to anyone who helped out in any way at all over the weekend to help keep things running smoothly! . Sam Rackham, Bill Vanderziel, Mill Conroy, Alex Freund, Bill Taylor, Jason Holmes, Dennis Samson, Josh Henderson,  Roy Lievanos... If I've missed anyone here ,thanks!

It was great to see Terry Schmid, Nesta Szabo and Bob Scott in attendance and great qualifying run Bob to secure an A Main sit out spot in F1!

Thanks Joe Gallagher for the awesome Kelly Checkpoint Cup banners set up at Piranha!

The next big West Coast race at Piranha will be the newly scheduled Cukras/ Zimmerman/ IRRA/ SCRRA shootout in April.

At this point it looks like a 5 day event with the racing chedule and specifics still being worked out!  Mark this one down on your calender with more details to follow shortly!   :good:
