That was probably lifted off an old, I think Monogram, dragster static kit. I had one with a red plastic body. Vintage & at least one other company used to repop slot car bodies off vintage model car kits.

The original body was a Hubley dragster used in their clockwork wind up set. The vac body was copied from that. Here is one I build using all brass, I call the Brasswinder

Phil,

Had you seen the International kit before? It was new to me.

Its for sale also, and cheaper. (so far)

Here's a couple from my drag stash you may like.

Clear one is an International.

Martin, I had a search for International chassis as well. They seem to be few and far between. It seems they brought really good money. I never bought one because I didn't like them enough to spend top dollar for one.

I never saw the one in your photo before. My guess is that it's really something special.

That's cool! I haven't bought any vintage drag stuff in a long time. I have mostly K&B and Russkit. You guys have cooler stuff than me!

Yes please Joe, I do, inspire me with more of your builds.

I have this body I should do something with, similar to your "Der Fueler" :good:

Indeed, a couple of heavy hitters there. Can not say if one of them was the LASCM ?

But I knew it was rare.

I was one of them. I was no where near the winning bid.
