A record number of racers showed up at Race Ya on Staten Island for our weekly Flexi NASCAR Race with Hawk 7 motors.
Unfortunately three racers had to bow out for personal or health problems... but we still broke a record with 20.
First off was the B Main with 13 racers... but longtime Buzz-A-Rama racer John "The Jet" Triandopolis who came out of a 45-year retirement to start racing again last week took home his first win. Second was Anthony Stallone by only a few sections, and third went to Steve Perri.
Next up was the A Main where Anthony Onesto continues his dominance over the field with a record-setting 275 laps. Second was yours truly Nicky Traina with 261 laps. Third was Uncle Ralphie D'Ambra with 257 laps.
This weekly series keeps growing and growing with new racers showing up every week. We have a great bunch of guys and the racing is really getting competitive as each racer gets better and better.
Anyone looking to come race can see me or John Vitale and we can set you up.
