Who can I contact about a Ruddock controller?
My current situation. Apparently when the DR40 came out, Dan didn't want anyone to know how it worked LOL. Kinda hard to replace stuff when everything is potted in phenolic.

Who owns Ruddock?

Jim Stevens and I think he has the website, too.

When Dan first came out with the controller, he had the component ID and numbers removed so even if you depotted the board you couldn't see what the components were...

Chris is correct, Jim Stevens owns Ruddock now. The only website I can find (http://www.gofastest.com/dr/) says that it was last updated in 2013, but here's a link to Jim here on Slotblog- http://slotblog.net/...59-turkeyman49/
I have an old DR40 like that, too. Jim tells me that he can't do anything with those potted transistor units. He just builds a new one if they fail.

I met with Jim Stevens last month regarding a newer model DR40 that wasn't working. He gave me a lot of info, but he is not too interested in repairing the old controllers.
I do not have info on the model you have, but I do have one of those as well.
The newer ones that are NOT potted, I have diagrammed how they are wired and have info on the components. Jim did tell me that the older models are NOT wired the same as the newer models.
If Jim cannot assist you, let me know, I've been working on these as well.
thanks
Mike

What year range is considered older? I haven't seen a Ruddock in years at the track.
I am not clear if he meant the 9 band models or the to-3 transistor models.
