Not sure what you're referring to Philippe - Jose's article covers the history of rail & slot racing to 1967, but the question was about the longest-lasting commercial raceway to date: just glanced through the article and he doesn't even say which one was the earliest, just mentions that they're going plush.... he only talks about the early clubs, Kalamazoo, etc., but the English ones.

Well here in Connecticut we had Milford Hobbies. This track opened in 1960 with one of the first American tracks. It had the little downhill and bridge and the color was "black". In April of 2008 it closed after a real "brain-e-act" came-in and told the world he would get the track to be famous again. He researched the place for a long-time I am told and even came to speak with other track owners.
I guess he did not understand Summer as a track owner and closed the place for the first time since 1960.
The worse thing was he chopped the track-up with a chain saw and axe.
Milford, Connecticut was the location and Milford Hobbies the name all those years.
