Does anybody make a 1-1/4" Retro motor bracket? I've got an idea for building a Can-Am chassis with Retro parts.

These are FSF brackets. Left is 1-1/4", center and right are 1-3/8".

Left one comes with a plate. I can take better photos if you want.

You could use a 1.365" bracket and space the wires inward to get your desired rail spacing.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

Mike Swiss makes a 1.3 bracket with enough room under for .047 rails..Good product.

!/16 single rail is really not enough for a retro chassis. :)

Swiss made a single .063 rail build a few years ago and posted it in the IRRA website. I've made a single .063 and it worked fine. Just sayin'

I made quite a few single rail JK cars years ago and they worked fine too. However, look at what is dominating the podiums lately. :)

Single .078 main rails go back to the mid-70s wing cars. Russ, you can easily bend that stuff with 9" linesmen pliers. I don't have strong hands, but I have bent it. I will admit it doesn't bend as easily as .047 & .055.

i've been using compound lineman pliers for a long time. they are indispensable for scratch building. i spotted

these pliers at home depot & may have buy them.
