This is the 1/24 scale Ferrari 330 P2 that I plan to enter in the race at Bordeaux.

This body is a recent Tamiya reissue, it is low and does not require a lot of assembly work.

The car won the 1000km of the Nurburgring in 65, that's perfect, the theme of the race is the 1000km before 1968.

As always, first I chose wheels to determine the height of the car.

Urethane tires on Riggen rims for the rear and I machined the rims up front.

The frame as often is made of brass starting from a 1 mm thick plate.

The motor is a 16D

Once finished, I glued 3 aluminum studs in the bodywork which will allow it to be positioned at the right height.

The goal is for it to integrate perfectly with the bodywork.

It's prettier when you turn the car over, and if it's efficient, it's the ultimate satisfaction.

Wow, very nice Regis.  I especially like the chassis and the ride height.

I love it too Regis.

Lots of nice details, like the way the rear of the chassis curves to fit the body. Love the clean chassis design.

Can I ask where the decals come from, they are as close as I have seen to the ones I have been looking for. (see pic) Dynamic 330 P3 kit.

Absolutely stunning.

That Tamiya body never looked so good.

Did you remove the "hump" from the interior or did that body not have it.

As far as the chassis, you are right.

Perhaps this car should be run upside down  :D

Good spotting Joe, I just noticed the missing inline motor hump.

Regis, It looks like you used a Monogram interior?  Much better IMO. :good:

I just checked, all the second generation Tamiya bodies I have, have the hump. But I do not have a P2 to check.

Thank you all for the nice comments

For Jairus I didn't do much, other than paint, these are the inserts from the kit.

For the bodywork, I did not modify anything, except by opening the side air intakes with a file.

It is the only Tamiya body that does not have the dent inside, it is true that it is unsightly.

Thanks for the link  Regis, that is a nice sheet. I like that the number 1 is a separate decal so I could modify the shape slightly.

I did not know that the Ferrari had the flat interior, thanks for setting me straight  :)

Looking closer, I might be better off cutting my own number ones from decal paper, as neither 1s are perfect as I thought on that sheet.

But do appreciate the help.

For as many Dynamic decal sheets that are floating around, I have never seen this one, for the 330 P3.

The chassis is beautifully fabricated - incredible craftsmanship! !
