This is the 1/24 scale Ferrari 330 P2 that I plan to enter in the race at Bordeaux.
This body is a recent Tamiya reissue, it is low and does not require a lot of assembly work.
The car won the 1000km of the Nurburgring in 65, that's perfect, the theme of the race is the 1000km before 1968.
As always, first I chose wheels to determine the height of the car.
Urethane tires on Riggen rims for the rear and I machined the rims up front.
The frame as often is made of brass starting from a 1 mm thick plate.
The motor is a 16D
Once finished, I glued 3 aluminum studs in the bodywork which will allow it to be positioned at the right height.
The goal is for it to integrate perfectly with the bodywork.
It's prettier when you turn the car over, and if it's efficient, it's the ultimate satisfaction.
