Need ID on these springs.

I think the larger one may be for a Russkit Carrera chassis but I don't have one here currently to compare.

Not sure on the other one.

Can only say both are from the 60's

Thanks

Not at home for now, but saw this Russkit listing on ebay and that looks like your spring.

Thanks, Don.

I looked for a while but couldn't find a good pic like the one you show.

I'm pretty sure the large one is, as you mentioned, from a Russkit Carrera.  I think the smaller ones are from the side pans of a Champion chassis.

Do you have a picture of the Champion chassis that uses a spring?

I don't remember seeing something like that.

Here's a picture, it's on the bite bar just inside the the outer edge of the pan and soldered to the forward pin tube.

Both springs are 100% Russkit the large one for Carrera sports car chassis the small one for the Carrera Eagle/Honda single seater chassis.

Jay as I recall the Champion springs were very weak, and the springs in post one look to be stronger.

Those two springs looked a lot like those I wound of .032 piano wire for a self-closing wastebasket cover.

Fantastic info.

Thanks all.

Recent acquisition of a lot out of California.

Lots of Russkit small parts.

Not sure if they came out the back door or what.

Even a bag of plastic knock offs for Russkit wheels that have never been chromed.

Makes me think it's from an employee or just leftover stuff from the end.

Thanks Greg for keeping this thing going, great source for info ( and friends)  :victory:
