The Lotus 30 body and wonderful chassis came from Mark Haas.  I built up the body and chassis using a Mura silver wire Magnum 88 magnet 16D motor, Cox mag wheels, Cox guide, Weldun crown gear, and Paul's urethane rear tires.  Rear tire edge to edge is 3".  The body was converted to a single color by chipping and sanding the red and black paint off of the body.  The yellow paint was dissolved with Ronsonol lighter fluid.  The body was then painted with Poly S acrylic yellow paint.  Decals and detail were added.  A used interior was installed.

When Eric saw the chassis, he was impressed with it.  He had a feeling it would work well, and it does.
The Mura motor is very fast and runs cool.  The chassis was able to handle the fast motor.  The car is very fast and is easy to drive.

Great save Rodney. :clapping:

I am pretty sure that body is a Classic brand. Have you been following the Lotus 30 search conversation?

What ever that body is it isn’t a classic like what came with the manta ray. I have like three of those to compare it to.

the sides are more undercut(if that’s the right word?)/rounded. Classics have pretty flat sides between wheel openings. also no filler cap detail on hood. Its also more low slung than the classic body which is kinda bulky cartoony looking. If I recall it was a tad wider than the classic too.
