Slot.it chasiss are made in plastic instead of nylon now.
A few minutes of bending by hand does the trick.

You're right... I should be more specific – the new plastic material doesn't have memory like 'nylon' plastic.

The "new plastic" does have memory. That's why you only get one shot at straightening using the Slot.ot (although it has been around way before Slot.it) method. If heating doesn't fix the chassis, you are forced to rely on dark art.

If you bend it "just enough," it stays in place... maybe overstressed, but it is straight.
May not flex right... but some guys build many cars and one of those will be "magic."
