Do any of you use a Cricut, and if so, which one would you recommend for making my paint masks and decals?

My friend and fellow slot head, Ron has a Cricut.
Most of my recent slots cars are adorned with Cricut decals.
Great detail! You must be very careful applying these decals: They cannot be moved once down.
All of our Early Modified and many more are examples. See the link

I have a Silhouette Cameo IV. It's like a cricut, but uses different software.
The big differentiator in what you do will be the software.
I can print nice details on a printer, but even if printed via the silhoutte software, they do not line up properly on the cutter. It is as if the Y axis is stretched out and this gets worse as you go down the page. (This is strike 1).
Often, the cutouts I do for masks or whatever do not cut as expected. Sometimes they don't cut all the way through, sometimes they do. (This is strike 2)
The software is specific to using a die cutter (cricut or cameo, etc). As the cutting is more akin to a pen plotter than a printer.
I will also say this - I'm at a relatively high level in the computer field and this stuff is difficult for me. I cannot imagine trying to do this if you are not computer savvy at all. So please bear that in mind.
Just my opinions. YMMV!
Alleged amateur racer.
Mostly just play with lots of cars.
Able to maintain slot cars with a single bound.
Faster than a speeding Womp.
More powerful than a 36D.
