Here's a Dynamic 1/32 sidewinder with what looks like a 26D motor, with a jet flag reddish guide flag. Gear train is nice and smooth. The vac body might be a Hamil. I'm wondering if this chassis started life as a Dynamic 1/24 car that was shortened, or if they were more likely just sold as Dynamic parts to be finished up any way you like in either scale. Any ideas on that?

Forgot to mention the motor has blue windings, and the rear wheels have 6 holes, maybe Riggen or Mila Miglia just a guess.

The stock windings for a 26D were blue. The endbell looks like a Simco retrofit. Dynamic didn't make special cast chassis pieces for 1/32. The guide tongues were user cut shorter & shorter axles with 1/32 wheels & tires were used. In the late '60s, a 1.25" dia. rear tire was common & 7/8" was common in 1/32.

Right. Though it is unusual to see a sidewinder motor carrier used for 1/32nd. Generally, the in-line part was used, the sidewinder being too wide tor most 1/32nd scale bodies. I had one of the chassis set up for the Pittman 703 that did pretty well locally. I had a Lister body on it. But as 1/24th became more popular, I changed it to run that scale. Still have it with a GT-40 roadster body on it.
