Yes, this video is a bit of advertising from the auction house Gooding & Company, but I think it shows why Bugattis are so revered by car collectors. In 1933, this was a supercar.

Sure wish I could win that big lottery tonight... sigh.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

If nothing else, I wish you could at least get a ride in one, Greg. Pure immersion into the sights, sounds and feeling of a magnificent motorcar.

The 1985 American Bugatti Club International gathering in Maine had two of these entered. One owned by Bugatti collector Bill Serri, and one owned by Peter Williamson. At the time, Peter also owned the ketch Ring-Andersen, and hosted a very fine evening sail around the "Bay". I got a little "hands on" with Peter's car when the seal on the fuel filler cap failed to hold pressure.(Most Bugs at the time had pressurized fuel tanks)  A trip to the local Ace found a neoprene o-ring that fit, and made at least a temporary replacement for the leather one, which Peter noted may have been original. Peter's T-55 at auction in 2008;

Here ya go Greg. This is the best I can do.

You will notice a t-handle at the far left of the dashboard. That is the pressure pump for the fuel tank. Your job as rider is to keep the tank pressurized. The guage next to it is tank pressure. So get pumping. And the long lever next to the magneto is spark advance. Leave that alone.  :victory:
