I found this in one of my many boxes. Can someone tell me what this is? Specifically the copper tab at the front of the top plate. Can you give me estimated production dates and how much of it is period correct?

HO is not my thing so please don't assume I know brand, model, etc. As many details as possible please.

Thank you in advance.

Brian, that's an old TJet "flamethrower" lighted chassis. It looks odd because it's missing the bulb and leads. They're readily available on EBay and other sources.

Any idea what period this was produced?

Somebody that is more into HO than I was, can probably give you more exact dates, but basically mid to late 60's.

Flamethrower cars were made from 1970-'72, so that probably applies to the flamethrower chassis as well.

In the lower photo, you can see the extra holds for the wire.
In the upper photo,if you squint, you can see the different pickup, brush assembly with the additional spot for the wire. Unusual that it's not a add-on like before.

The AFX lighted magna traction chassis in the first photo of post #6 there was made starting in around1975 and continued for a couple of years after.
