Hi

The thing is that you cannot scale down air, to make the wing work, it needs to be bigger.

Sadly, for slot racing, such wings end up on the track collecting other cars. I would suggest not having them.

Correct, the current rules do not address it and that is why we said "no wings" allowed when we announced this body.

OK...

But, the next question I'm going to get is: 'If it's OK for Can-Am... why not for Stock Car?'

Will it be considered as a possible rule change at a later date?

We have not discussed it beyond this stage yet and your question / suggestion will go into the appropriate IRRA section here to be reviewed at rule making time.

On the Daytona body there is, what looks like a mold line that begins at the back of the rear wheel well and slants upward. Can I trim along this line or is it part of the rear bumper?

Yes you can as there is very little if any rear bumper. The trim line is as you see it on the body.

The following body has been approved for use in the Can-Am and Retro Anglewinder Classes after April 23, 2011.

Dilworth / Mini Wheels Lola T-160. It will be available through me.

This is an exact reproduction of the GB Models one that Waters made for Mini Wheels in the 60s. It fits a 4 inch WB car fine but would require a less than 1 inch GL.

I've seen the Dilworth bodies mentioned in other posts. Are these available through distributors? I know the shop I frequent would get some - cause I'd buy some for sure.

I don't care how short it is, it's beautiful and I wanna wrap it around my chassis.

It will fit a 4 inch WB and 7/8th GL but a 3 7/8 WB is perfect for it. Same really as the all the other Lola T-160s out there. Man, I remember painting these in the 60s.

Been meaning to ask, but slipped my mind. Since the new Daytona body has been approved with fully radiused wheel well openings, will the other stock car bodies now be permitted to follow suit? All the pictures I can find of the actual race car show the wheel wells with a "factory style" opening??? TIA...
