Great addition to the IRRA F1 approved bodies list. Should be eligible in time for the R4 after the 30 day waiting period.

No need for 30 day period as this is not a new body that was just made. It is readily available now.

Does this mean that Indy car bodies will now be considered along with Formula 1 since this is obviously the Indy version?

By the way a very nice paint job on the Lotus.

They may. All bodies will still have to meet the criteria and specifications.

I can hardly wait to see what perverted distortions of old Indy car bodies might be submitted. It could be entertaining. The '69 Brawner Hawk that Andretti won with had triple wings, IIRC... I wonder what certain creative types will do with that?

Not to be a nit-picker, but the rules do say pre-1970 F1 bodies, right?

Unless my memory is wrong I believe that the Formula 1 Lotus 56 was from 1971. One of the reasons I asked about Indy bodies.

The 1971 Lotus 56 Formula 1 is a totally different body and is as noted outside of the allowed years for bodies.

All some moldmaker would have to do is make a small ducktail on the rear and front wings for the nose. Not hard for people that know what they are doing...

Noose,  In entry #121 entered by you dated April 19, 2010 I see that a 1966 Chevy Chevelle - SKU #D33 from VFC, from PA. was approved by the Board yet I do not see it on the January 01, 2014 approved list.  Is this an oversight?  Was this body actually approved?  Just looking for clarification...  Thanks...

Noose,  I'm sorry but the list I have only has 3 items listed under Chevy, two of them are OS bodies and there is one VFC body N04 which is a '65 Impala not the D33 VFC Chevelle.  Can you send me a link the list where you are getting it from, maybe that's my issue...

Sorry, there was a typo in that section of the January 2014 list.

It should read:

Chevy Chevelle - VFC D33

Chevy Chevelle - OS652

'65 Chevy Impala - VFC N04

The OS 650 relates to the Dodge Daytona

Thank you...  I thought I was going crazy!  If I have a Chevy Impala - VFC N04 can I send it to you to paint?  It happens to be my favorite car, I have a '65 Super Sport and a '66 Chevy impala convertible, and a '66 Chevy 2 door hardtop that I lost in a garage fire.  It's so hard to find replacements that you can complete yourself, most of them are already done the way the person that is selling it their way...

Hey Gus,

Sorry to hear about your losses in the garage fire. I hope you can salvage some or most of the trio. Got any before pictures? Slot car full size and intermediate clear bodies from the 1940's to the mid 1980's are nearly non-existant with a few exceptions.

Can't tell from this picture and the link above isn't working... Are there four headlight bulbs molded in?

They lights bezels are molded in. The actual car from which this made did not have bulbs though. The grill on the real one was also flush as was the back end.

Since I have been asked about the front spoiler on the new VFC Charger, here is a pic of it mounted properly. It should be no longer than 1/4 inch from the bottom of the bumper.

Just a note. The Daytona did not have any flairs so they must be completely removed. They appear only because of the mold process.
