I assume this vac body is a '30s MG. Any idea which manufacturerer made this body? The aluminum chassis looks like maybe a Ranalli.

Thanks for any help.

Yep, Rannalli frame. Body looks more like a Morgan, made by Pactra as both a body and a car.

Thanks again, Don, for the ID. Morgan looks right.

I believe Morgans had a wood frame. A red one used to come to the fuel and grain company where my dad worked in the '50s.

Most Morgans have a wood-framed body. The actual chassis frame is a sheetmetal assembly.

Nice detail in the drawing, Greg. Great way to explain the design.

Here is what the Factory Pactra car looked like. Note sure if It came in any other colors? I have seen a lot of this blue.

Great drawing, Greg; thanks.

So the frame was wood, but the panels still metal?

Thanks to all for the info, pics, and diagram on the Morgan.

I'm wondering if the front grill areas on Don and Martin's cars appear smooth or fluted/rigged. Mine have the flutes, but Don's car looks more smooth to me. Can't tell from the pic on the Martin car.  Maybe the paint hides the flutes on your cars radiators is the only reason they look different though.

I painted the grille on the outside, so yes, the paint hides the flutes; on another Morgan I have, you can see the ridges more clearly.
