If I can find a decent amount of non rusted or abused track for an affordable price I am considering adding a four-lane plastic track to my basement. Please advise if you have any to sell or trade. Thanks.

I'm going to suggest this as food for thought.
Check on prices of routed tracks either built to order or existing (used) that will fit in your space. It might be a better option than throwing more money at a plastic track setup.

I had a layout with used Revell track about 15 years ago. It was ok, to a point....
Revell may have been the 'best' plastic track available to run both 1/32 and 1/24 scale cars in the 20th Century, many of the old plastic track piece molds ended up with REH distributing. The "Riggen" sets they sell are from those molds, so some pieces are available. They have slightly differently formed rails that need to be leveled with the older Revell sections for a smooth transition.
A better option is to use modern Carrera track for your larger layouts. The slot and rails are great. The rails are stainless steel and magnetic enough to work well with all modern car magnets and all accessories are widely available and not at 'rare antique prices'. You can also have up to eight lanes if you use the different layout options and there are computer planning tools for design.

I have a 4 lane Carrera Track I put together since moving into our new home.
I could not get myself to route another track because I did not want to make a mess in a brand new garage.
I'm lucky my wife allows me use of half the garage - that's because she likes to race too! LOL
Here's my track with a footprint of 5' x 15' which is much bigger than my portable folding track:
It's nothing like a routed track but it works for me.
Thanks.

Do you run any of your scratchbuilt cars on that Carrera track Ernie? If so, what are you using for rear tires & motors? Urethanes or silicone? Your layout looks fast!

I have some track that I never used, but unable to identify. Are there any markings that I can look for to help identify the pieces?

Hi Bill,
Do you run any of your scratchbuilt cars on that Carrera track Ernie? If so, what are you using for rear tires & motors? Urethanes or silicone? Your layout looks fast!
Yes I do!
I'm using urethane tires but it doesn't have the grip that it has on the painted commercial tracks; I'll address the issue sometime soon.
I still use the same Chinese motors I've purchased from eBay - the ones I've installed in my cars are still working well with no issues, and I run my track at 12 volts.
One issue I noticed running my 1/24 cars (that have close to 7" long bodies) is that the 1/32 scale banked turn I employ is too tight and with a wheelbase that is longer than the 1/32 cars, is that it can de-slot at times going around the bank;
This only happens if a car is going to slow - which does not happen too often.
I initially employed the #1 and #2 series banked turn but the 1/24 car won't even get around the bank because it would scrape and lift up off the track, so I switched to the #2 and #3 bank turns which work better.
I wanted to use the #4 bank turn, I would not be able to fit it on my table because Carrera states it would require a width of 6 feet and at 5 feet I'm at a maximum for my space limits.
I'm new to the 1/32 scale cars and really enjoy the paint schemes and other details of the bodies, so I'm learning to fabricate a chassis that will fit under the smaller RTR 1/32 bodies.
Another challenge for me!
I'm currently running the 1/32 scale RTR cars of different brands like Carrera, Scalextric, Slot.it etc., with Professor motor basic controllers.
I custom wired my track instead of using the Carrera OEM setup.
Here's a photo of how I wired my track:
Thanks for asking Bill! Hope all is well.

My set back in the day was Aurora, l still have it, along with more track that l've picked up. No idea if it's better then Revell for 1/24 cars or not but l do know it's far better then Strombecker (which l also have a lot of), mostly because the slots are deeper and the surface allows a good grip. Great for Flexis and Gp12s, regular foam tyres work great on it.

Take a look at the NSR cars along with your Slot It ones as they are really great out of the box for racing. Slot it and NSR also have great tire combinations for the 1/32 home track use!

I have a 4 lane Carrera and we run silicone tires only and they work very well. I have tried urethanes and did not like the grip, better than stock, but not like silicone!
