Sunday's D3 Hardbody races at Buena Park Raceway had a lite turnout of racers. The track voltage was reset to 12.1 volts. Thanks to Bob Ahulii for modifying a Bulldog 75 Amp power supply. Thanks to Mill Conroy and Dennis Samson for installing the modified/adjustable power supply on the MTT flat track.
The first race of the day was for GTPs and Mid-Engine class cars.
Doug Jacks won his first GTP race with Mike Tipps 2nd and Phil Nyland 3rd. The "Racer Handicap podium had Mike Tipps 1st, Jim LaBarba 2nd and Doug Jacks 3rd. Jim LaBarba drove his new "Batmobile" car which is by far the largest and heaviest hardbody car to race on the BPR flat track.
Jim's new Batmobile actually ran quite well considering its size/weight with its dual motor inline chassis.
The second race of the day was the "Mixed" race for any D3 Hardbody racing class (except for GTPs and Mid-Engine classes).
Doug Jacks won again driving his Porsche 934. Keith Tanaka was 2nd driving a Short Track Mustang and Hector "Gonzo" Gonzalez was 3rd driving his Corvette hardtop.
The "Racer Handicap" podium had Mike Tipps 1st (NASCAR), Bob Ahulii 2nd (NASCAR Truck) and Doug Jacks 3rd (Porsche 934).
Thanks to Robert Range for supporting D3 Hardbody Racing at Buena Park Raceway.
Thanks to our race director today, Mill Conroy.
