Terminal cancer forces the sale of Dad's cars.
Looking for a suggestion.
Do you think this box of Thingy cars would do better on eBay together or separate or as as a complete set on Bring a Trailer?
Thanks for your ideas on what to do.

I look in on Bring-a-Trailer for entertainment at lunch. The once or twice I have seen slot car come up the bids were higher than anything I would have guessed. I guess you just have to hit the right audience.
My best wishes to your father.

I looked up the website, never heard of it before. History of sales showed one collection that sold for a lot! This may be a new audience that has more high $ capability than Facebook Slotblog, etc.
Your dad had a unique collection and I think much of it could go for top $$$. My impression is that this is a good place for themed collections. More technology specific would probably do better on eBay and Slotblog. Give this a thought and try to see if it works.

Why not try all 3 with a Reserve price?

What happened with this sale?

I talked to Bob a few weeks back. Mostly the discussion was about the old days at Bill’s raceway in Melbourne FL and about tracks in FL now. I asked about the sale and did not get a lot of new information, just that his son was helping. I have not seen anything new go up. The link is at the top of the page, repeated here.
