It was announced on Facebook that Chuck Vaughn (Mr. VTeck) passed away on Sunday. Chuck was a longtime slot car racer and all-around good guy with a soft spoken gentile spirit.

Chuck had been in poor health these past couple of years, but prior to that, he could be found at BPR and later Piranha Raceway almost every day.

On a personal note, Chuck was very helpful to me when my vision started to fade, handling both pit man and marshaling duties.

My prayers go out to Chuck's family.

Chuck was a good guy... alway had good conversations with him. RIP.

Alice and I along with our kids raced wings with Chuck in the '80s.When I got back into racing, we would reminisce those days. He liked to joke around. He help me out getting to know all the new stuff.

Here are a few photos we have with him. A great person we were fortunate to know.

Condolences to his family. RIP.
