Slots-a-Lot raceway in Nassau County NY (Long Island) is Closing, there is a For Rent sign on the storefront on Hempstead turnpike.

A lot of excellent racers got their start there, recently the place became merely a Birthday party location.

Bummer

Fear not, good people.... although there is a "for rent" on the locale, they are in discussions to sell. The landlord is trying to TRIPLE the rent to renew a lease, so the only solution is to move. The current owner is retiring from the business.

And that's all I'm putting up here in public.

You want to know anything more, then you can feel free to either CALL the store or the owner.

Its sad that another iconic slot car raceway is closing its doors.............................When I started back racing slot cars again in 2007 there were 5 raceways on long Island ................and now there will be only 1

Nicky. is the "Race Ya" raceway still in operation? I don't recall seeing any of their race reports for a while.
