Information is sketchy at this time, but so very sorry to hear that Jim Watterson of Buena Park Raceway has passed away.

Jim joins Debbie to rest in eternal peace.

Thanks from the racing community for all the years you both gave us a home to race.

As soon as more information is known, it will be posted here.

In the meantime, I would encourage people to post favorite photos, remembrances, etc. of Jim in this thread.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Jim loved racing with his grandsons. He also enjoyed the weekly Womp races on the small track in the back of the raceway. He had been sick for quite sometime, went into remission but I suspect his cancer returned.

Jim was always kind to me and I will miss him. Rest in Peace, Jim. You and Debbie ran a class act at Buena Park Raceway.

Jim really enjoyed the hobby, and I enjoyed many conversations with him. He and Debbie provided many of us with a place to race for many years, and that's worth a lot to me. Condolences to his family and friends.

Jim and Debbie were instrumental in my return to racing slot cars.
Jim was good to Alice and me.
Learned not to not ask him to race direct when Dodgers were in World Series. LOL.
Jim was a major Dodger fan at heart.

RIP and say hi to Deb.
