I may joke, but I love kids. Always have. I think that really came to the fore while I was working at the National Railroad Museum. I loved seeing that "wide-eyed look of wonder" when a five-year-old stood up close to a real, live steam engine. Kids just love trains. And to have a Dad hand his boy up to me in the cab, so that he could see everything that was going on, then run back to Dad, arms flailing away, yelling about everything he saw. That's what it's all about.
