Like nowhere else, on Wednesday nights in Chi-town, wing racing addicts come out to race on the fabulous Swiss King track at Chicagoland Raceway.  We warm up with GTP racing and then take the deep dive into a FUN filled evening of racing.  This week was no exception.  The top guns help the youngbloods.  We have a blast.  If you need to get out and spread your "wings"....come on out and plug in!

That was a very close race in both classes everybody was trying to win!! Very good competitors, but the main thing it was everyone helped everyone out made the race go smooth thank you Mark for the good commentary and reporting! Thank you Mike for giving us a place to race and a place we can get together weekly to enjoy our hobby!!

And Dave you have to go back to the History channel to find that chassis that Chuck used! LOL
But knowing Chuck he probably could have made two popsicle sticks outperform most of the cars that were racing last night! LOL but we all had fun

Hey Mark, it might be a good idea if we could get together one night or on the weekend, have a race early enough,so we can go out for one of these restaurants that you keep showing on the pictures in the post, I think that would be a good outing!!

I think the asylum will give me a Saturday out if enough advance notice is provided.

Pick a date.

Pick a spot.

I’m all in.

That's what we used to do every Saturday night. Starting back in LaGrange at Harry's and Beef and Brats, and later, in DG at Portillo's, Miller's and Tapatio, and eventually at Taco Grill.

That caught my eye, too, Dave. It looks to me like a modified (significantly lightened) Mid America Salvator. It's only a couple of years old, but apparently wasn't popular, since it's not listed on the website for sale any more. I have one, and it seems to work reasonably well.

At least Salvator center section I would say.

I owe Chuck big time for teaching me how to build and drive Eurosports back when Jerry Kulich had the track in Lombard. He was a master then, still is.

In the early days of Retro, Dave Fiedler was unbeatable. Someone made the remark that he could win with a car made from popsickle sticks. And sure enough, someone did build a chassis out of popsickle sticks, and presented it to Dave. I only caught a quick glimpse of it, because Dave immediately hid it away. Probably the only time I sensed Dave's feelings were hurt. He usually laughed off any barbs directed at him.
